Joined the Royal Scots Promoted Lieutenant Promoted Staff Captain , Lothian Brigade Proceeded to France Killed in action He was in the dugouts in Potijze Wood just 200 yards from teh firing line. The shelling was so fierce that trees were torn up by the roots and the tops sliced by shrapnel.
