Joined the Fife and Forfar Yeomanry Gazetted Second Lieutenant to the Royal Horse and Royal Field Artillery Proceeded to Flanders after training at Kilkenny , Ireland Killed in action at Ypres At the front he had acted as Orderly Officer to Brigadier General Bethell RFA who recorded his appreciation of his worth and gallantry as an officer. He was popular with all who knew him and singularly fitted for a military career. He was also a cultured musician. |
